Inferences

We do not draw inferences from your personal information to build a profile about you, and we do not make automated credit decisions. We use your state and the amount you ask for to choose which lenders can review your request.

Sensitive personal information

We collect sensitive personal information only from you, and we use and disclose it only to process your request, as described below. We do not use it to infer characteristics about you.

What we do not collect

We do not collect biometric information, audio or video recordings, or education records, and we do not record calls.

Sale and sharing

Lenders and lending partners pay us for the requests we send them. When you ask us to find you a loan, you direct us to share your request with them. Sharing your request with a lender that may pay us may be a sale under the CCPA, so you have the right to opt out of it.

The categories of personal information that may be sold this way are identifiers, customer records, protected characteristics, commercial information, employment and income information, and sensitive personal information. They may be sold to lenders and lending partners. We do not sell or share personal information with marketing partners.

Today the site does not use advertising cookies, so we do not share personal information for cross context behavioral advertising. We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of anyone under 16.

How long we keep it

We keep your request and the records of your consents for up to five years, for legal and record keeping duties. Then we delete them or make them anonymous. We delete Social Security, bank account and ID numbers from Dino Loan's systems within 90 days after your request is sent to a lender. We keep other personal information only as long as we need it for the purposes above.

Your rights

As a California resident, you have the right to:

  • Know. Ask what personal information we collected about you, where it came from, why we collected, sold or shared it, and who we disclosed it to, and get a copy of the specific pieces we have.
  • Delete. Ask us to delete personal information we collected from you, with some exceptions the law allows.
  • Correct. Ask us to correct personal information about you that is wrong.
  • Opt out of sale and sharing. Ask us not to sell or share your personal information. Opting out stops future sales. Because matching needs that sharing, after you opt out we cannot send new requests from you to lenders. We treat a Global Privacy Control signal as a request to opt out. See Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information.
  • Limit. The law lets you limit how a business uses and discloses your sensitive personal information. We use it only to process your request, so this right does not apply.
  • Equal treatment. Not be treated differently for using these rights.

Financial privacy laws

The CCPA does not apply to some personal information collected under the federal Gramm Leach Bliley Act or the California Financial Information Privacy Act. If an exception applies to your request, we will tell you.

How to make a request

Email support@dinoloan.com with the subject line California privacy request.

What to include

Tell us enough to find your records. Please do not send your Social Security number or a full bank account number by email.

  • Your full name.
  • The email address and mobile number you used on Dino Loan.
  • Your home address.
  • Which right you want to use, and the details of your request.

How we verify requests

Before we act on a request to know, delete or correct, we confirm your identity by matching the details you give us with the details we have. A request for specific pieces of information needs a closer match. We may ask for more details, and we use them only to verify your request.

A request to opt out of sale or sharing does not need verification, but we may ask for details to find your records.

We confirm that we got your request within 10 business days and answer within 45 calendar days. If we need more time, we will tell you why, and we may take up to 45 more days. We act on opt out requests within 15 business days. We do not have to answer more than two requests to know from you in a 12 month period.

Authorized agents

You can let an authorized agent make a request for you. We will ask the agent for your signed permission, and we may ask you to verify your identity with us directly, unless the agent has a power of attorney under the California Probate Code.

No discrimination

We will not deny you our service, charge you a different price or give you a different quality of service because you used your CCPA rights. If you opt out of sale or sharing, we cannot send new requests from you to lenders, as our Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information page explains. We do not offer financial incentives for your personal information.
